Years ago, my mother wanted to buy a car. We spent al day going to dealerships. She just got madder and madder until she was ready to spit nails because the dealers were all "playing games" with us. She was giving up, when a friend told her to go straight to Gay. We did... and she got the perfect car from wonderful people with no hassle. We've bought all our cars from Gay ever since. Last week, I traded in my previous Gay car and bought a new Acadia. Steve asked a bunch of questions then showed me the perfect car. It was the only one we test drove, because he picked out the perfect car for us. A whopper of a storm came down while we were doing paperwork, so Steve went out into the rain to pull our old car into the bay so we could unload our stuff into the freshly-washed Acadia. The day that I picked up my vehicle, my regular service attendant was not available. I love my regular guy by the way, John is a dream, wonderful follow up, and keeps me in the loop on every aspect of my service. Since he wasn't available, the person who attended to me, just didn't have the interest in me or my car. She seemed very dry, as if "I" didn't matter since I was "her" regular customer. She very easily could have developed a relationship with me, however, it seemed that it was just easier to get me out of the door. At check out, the cashier, who was not the regular cashier who KNOWS me, seemed to have the same problem, just very matter of fact, no warmth, no interest. It's very easy to say things like "How are you today?" Hi, Mr./Mrs.__________, I hope you have a great day, anything, but it just seemed very simple, and lacking the enthusiasm! Please don't hold this against John, it's not his problem, if anything...he is the glue that holds it together. Took in my 2012 Regal GS in for 1st oil change and also had the tires rotated. On the way my turbo seemed to have stopped working. Drove all the way without it. Could surely tell the difference when I tried to pass a big rig and realized there was no boost. The guys checked it out for me and found no problem or any error codes from the computer. Any way the service was quick and I was done in about an hour or so. The staff was great and met all my needs for the vehicle. I brought in my 2012 Buick Verano which had a loose, inside rear view mirror. Gay ordered the new parts required for the mirror housing. Annette said the parts would be there ready for installation on Thursday in a week. Annette called on that Thursday and said the parts were in, and I made an appointment for 9AM to bring in the car. The parts were installed in a short time and I signed the service paperwork for the work, which was covered by the warranty. Back in 12/11/11 I had a noise when I turned the steering wheel and had Beck&Masten on Gulf freeway Houston,Tx.fix it. They said they changed a part Ro202716 on it and it did not make the noise anymore. That was warranty. Then on 5/11/13 had the same noise with 42,579 miles and had to have the steering gear housing fixed again by Gay Buick in Dickinson, tx. This wasn't warranty. The week before had the water pump go out, witch was warranty. I hope I don,t have anymore trouble with steering wheel. Gay Buick have really been nice to me and I appreciate it.
